HEADWATERS NEWS:

Headwaters sales in 2016/2017 season

April 4, 2017

A total of 850 Headwaters rams were sold in the past season, compared with 424 in the previous year and 485 the year before. This is the first time rams have been sold in Omega, Sigma and Delta categories (see below).

Category Omega Sigma Delta
2017 sales 254 268 328

Headwaters General Manager Ian Hercus says the result for the year was satisfying.

“The quality of conversations with farmers, though, is the most positive development. There’s growing understanding of the importance of investing in genetics that can aid the wellbeing of the animal and the consumer through a proven and known fat profile.”
